SAN CARLOS, AZ (CBS5) -

A wildfire on the San Carlos Apache reservation south of Barlow has burned up 1,163 acres, fire officials said Thursday.

The Barlow Fire started about 1:30 p.m. Saturday about 30 miles east of San Carlos. As of Thursday afternoon, it's six percent contained and there is still a threat to structures and power lines, fire officials said.

On Friday, there is expected to be three crews on board and four engine crews with air resources to work on the fire and keep it from reaching a power line along Road 1700, IDT Ranch and the Seneca Ceremonial Grounds.

Fire officials said there is high potential for growth on the fire as wind gusts could get up to 40 mph.
