Laumaka escapee arrested after alleged robbery at Windward Mall

A Laumaka Work Furlough Center escapee was captured by police on Thursday after allegedly robbing Kay Jewelers at Windward Mall.
Honolulu police arrested 38-year-old Anthony Robert Delmondo at approximately 11 a.m. He and one other individual were involved in the incident, but police have not yet released the second suspect's identity.
Details regarding how much was stolen from the store are also not available.
Delmando escaped from Laumaka -- a center in which inmates are actively seeking employment or working in the community -- on April 19. According to the Department of Public Safety, he was not present at the 6 a.m. head count.
DPS officials said Delmondo was serving time for vehicle theft. His next parole hearing was scheduled for June 14. His max release date is June 14, 2015.
