New film "The Hornet's Nest" shows a deeper look into the war in Afghanistan
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -
A new movie shows audiences the war in Afghanistan like they've never see it before. David Salzberg, Co-director of "The Hornet's Nest." The groundbreaking, front-line footage was shot in Afghanistan by veteran Journalist Mike Boettcher and his son Carlos.
Mike and Carlos Boettcher are the only father and son to ever win an Emmy for the same news story, in this case for their coverage of Strong Eagle 3, one of the most intense battles of the troop surge in Afghanistan. With only their cameras, they provide unprecedented access into the longest war in United States' history.
