Wrongful death lawsuit filed following KCC Farmers' Market death

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The family of a 27-year-old woman who was run over at the Kapiolani Community College Farmers' Market in March has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the owner of the truck involved in the collision, as well as the company's driver.

Annie Runland, an employee at the Greens & Vines restaurant, was a Washington native who had only been working at the establishment for a few months, her family said.

Witnesses at the scene said Runland had been helping set up a booth for the market when a woman driving a Ma'o Organic Farms delivery truck ran her over.

The family's attorney has scheduled a press conference for Tuesday afternoon to discuss the lawsuit.
