Business and Life Coach Bob Wilson of Smartful Coaching announced recently that he is offering a repeat of his popular writing workshop and retreat, to be held in Verona, Italy, September 14 – 19, 2014.

Phoenix, AZ – May 13, 2014 /MM-AuthorityPress/ —

The retreat aims to offer an atmosphere of relaxation and self-discovery in which attendees can hone their writing and journaling skills and cultivate inspirational and memorable experiences.

“In my coaching business, I tend to focus on helping people through transitions, whether they are transitions they have sought out, like starting a new business venture, or ones that have been forced upon them, such as a job layoff or a divorce,” says Wilson. “I first decided to offer a writing workshop two years ago in Carefree, Ariz. because, looking back at some of the most difficult times in my life, I found that I would journal during those times, and it was immensely helpful to me. I decided to move the retreat to Verona this time after attending a conference where one of the speakers discussed the value of traveling abroad for inspiration.” Wilson says he chose Verona due to its connection to William Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet,” and out of a desire to avoid more conventional destinations, such as Rome or Venice.

According to Wilson, the goals of the retreat are somewhat open-ended, with attendees able to choose what they want to get out of the experience. “We’re going to talk about different ways of writing, so the retreat will be instructional, but what the attendees get out of it is really up to them,” says Wilson. “They could be somebody who wants to get in better touch with who they are, someone who wants to write a book, or they could be somebody who just wants to capture the memories of the trip to be able to relive that or share it with a loved one.”

In addition to the writing workshop aspect of the trip, attendees will participate in a walking tour of Verona and a day trip outside of the city to Lake Garda, a walk through the walled medieval village of Lazise, and a wine tasting of Bardolino wine in a family-run winery. Attendees will also have the opportunity to explore Verona on their own during scheduled free time to further individualize and customize their experiences. Each attendee will also receive a one-on-one coaching session with Wilson during their stay.

Past participants in the retreat are enthusiastic about their experiences. “Bob presents his thoughts and ideas in a way that makes everyone feel comfortable in opening up and expressing themselves freely. I learned so much! Fantastic retreat!” said past attendee Vicki Richards. Another attendee, Jennifer Johnson, said, “Loved the retreat! Bob provides a fun learning environment – fabulous tools to start using right away in my life and business.”

“I expect they will look back on the trip and feel it made a big difference in their life. That is, that the experience helped them see something in a new perspective or help get them on a new path that they are delighted with,” Wilson adds.

Attendees who wish to join Smartful Coaching’s retreat do not need any prior writing experience. Attendance is limited to seven participants in order to keep the experience intimate and memorable. Registration is open now through July 15, 2014. Additional details, as well as complete registration information, are available at: http://veronasept2014.eventbee.com.
