Albany State All-American DB Dexter Moody is headed to the NFL.
The former Golden Ram has signed a free agent deal with the Baltimore Ravens.
"This is a great opportunity for me," Moody said in a press release. "I am happy the Ravens are giving me this chance. It's an opportunity that will not be wasted."
The Twin City, GA native was the 2013 SIAC Defensive Player of the Year after recording 45 total tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, and three interceptions. He was also named the MVP of the 2013 SIAC Championship Game.
"Moody is one of the other better football players we've had here at Albany State," White said. "He is definitely an NFL football player. It is just a matter of him getting a genuine opportunity."
The 6'3, 200-lb. senior says he's ready to show it doesn't matter what league you come from if you can play the game.
"I looking forward to doing big things when I get to camp," Moody said. "One of my goals is to show the league that Division II players can play in the NFL. Hopefully, I can help open doors for others players on our level."
