Website issues blamed for fewer visitors at museum

HONOLULU (AP) - Website problems are being blamed for lower turnout at the Pacific Aviation Museum in Pearl Harbor.

The museum's Executive Director Ken DeHoff Jr. tells the Honolulu Star-Advertiser that a reservations website says tickets are sold out even though tickets available in person.

DeHoff says ticket sales at the Aviation Museum were down 20 percent in the first quarter, compared with the same time frame last year.

Other attractions in Pearl Harbor including the USS Arizona Memorial also appear to be sold out online.

DeHoff says he suspects tour companies are scooping up the tickets online.

He says he has asked for the website recreation.gov to be changed, but that will take time.
