Legendary Hawaii entertainer Danny Kaleikini has entered a plea of not guilty to driving under the influence, according to his attorney Paul Cunney.
However, Cunney says the entertainer will not fight the charge and is seeking a plea agreement with the prosecutor's office.
Kaleikini was not in court Monday morning when the plea was entered on his behalf. He was arrested last month in Kahala with a blood alcohol level of point .087.
"His alcohol level was only a .087 but in the combination with his heart medication I think it probably threw him off a little bit," said Cunney.
Cunney says Kaleikini has taken responsibility for the incident, "He is going to take a negative and turn it into a positive."
