Wie surges to 3rd for fourth straight top 10 finish

IRVING, TEXAS (HawaiiNewsNow) - Michelle Wie is making a habit of finishing the weekend strong.

For the last month, the 24-year-old has had lightning in a bottle never finishing outside the top 10 in three straight tournaments.

She entered Sunday's final round of the North Texas LPGA Shootout tied for 15th and didn't take long moving up.

The Punahou grad vaulted to third place after shooting her best round of the weekend, a 67 with an eagle and three birdies on the back nine.

She had a chance to finish in second, but suffered consecutive bogeys on the final two holes.

Nonetheless, she ends in third for her fourth straight top 10 finish.

Through 2014, she's never come in below 16th place.

Wie will be back in action in two weeks at the Kingsmill Championship in Virginia.
