Flood Advisory expires on Big Island

HILO, BIG ISLAND (HawaiiNewsNow) - A flood advisory that had been posted for parts of the Big Island has been allowed to expire as of 3:15 p.m.

The National Weather Service said radar and rain gages indicated that heavy rain had ended.

Forecasters had issued the advisory due to heavy rain earlier in the day in the Hilo and Puna Districts.
