TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

It's been two years since a Tucson family woke up to find their 6-year-old daughter missing from her bed.

Isabel Celis remains missing after a massive search.

Earlier this year police returned to her neighborhood in another operation to find clues.

In all, Tucson Police detectives have investigated more than 2,100 leads and interviewed 42 people potentially connected to her disappearance.

With still no trace of the girl, her family continues to hold onto hope that she's alive.

Becky and Sergio Celis think a family member might have information about what happened to her.

They say the person is an extended family member who promptly left Tucson one week after Isabel went missing.

The Celises say this person has a troubled past and that he had a key to their home because he used to live there for about a year.

They won't go so far as to say he's the person who kidnapped their daughter, but they do wonder why he left the state so unexpectedly, and reportedly got an attorney the moment investigators started asking questions.

"I have no idea," Becky Celis said. "It could be something as simple as protecting themselves from something else, from actually something that happened, they're involved in.

"Just want to find out what they know. Could either open or close that door, you know, of us going the right direction to find Isa or knowing that that door does not lead us anywhere and let us go someplace different."

Tucson Police won't comment on the out-of-state relative, but they do confirm they've done interviews with people in California, Texas and Washington.
