We're excited to welcome Andrews McMeel, Globe Pequot Press and New Word City to Oyster and know that our members will enjoy the many dynamic titles they have to offer," said Matthew Shatz, Head of Strategy and Partnerships at Oyster.
With a constantly growing number of available e-books, Oyster aims to offer readers access to an unparalleled and rich library of books across all genres, for one low monthly price. "Oyster isn't a business. It's a revolution," said Donna Carpenter, CEO of New Word City. "How much we read will no longer be determined by how much we can spend on books, but only by the time we have available."
Titles from Oyster's new publishing partners span across travel, history, humor, non-fiction, and children's genres and include New York Times bestsellers, National Book Award finalists, and even iconic comic book heroes such as Doonesbury and Calvin & Hobbes.
"Andrews McMeel is delighted to bring our diverse library of titles to Oyster. Our relationship provides an exciting and valuable opportunity to share our catalog with an enthusiastic audience of readers we may not have otherwise reached," said Kirsty Melville, President and Publisher of Andrews McMeel, Book Division.
