A dog that was found with a stab wound to the head has recovered and is ready for adoption. The Hawaiian Humane Society says "Rosie" will be moved from her foster home to the adoption center in Honolulu on Thursday.
The dog was found April 2 on Nanaikeola Street in Nanakuli. Investigators said she was under a bush and was covered in blood.
No arrests have been made. Investigators also opened a felony cruelty to animals case and are offering a $5,000 reward for information that leads to a conviction, which carries a maximum penalty of a $10,000 fine and/or five years in jail.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Humane Society at 356-2250.
