On a scoreline for their combined 2 wave tally, Moore scored 16.23 to Wright on 15.77.
Moore scored a decisive 8.73 ride early in the final with both surfers second ride scores identical 7.50.
In SemiFinal 1 Moore defeated Australia's Sally Fitzgibbons in a closely fought battle while SemiFinal 2 saw Tyler Wright defeat fellow Australian Stephanie Gilmore
