Honolulu police arrested a 37-year-old male suspect in connection with a Kapahulu bank robbery that occurred on Wednesday morning.
Tavita Tu was arrested on Friday at the Honolulu Police Department main station around 10:45 a.m.
According to HPD officials, Tu allegedly entered an American Savings Bank in the Kapahulu area around 9:20 a.m. Wednesday. He reportedly presented a demand letter to a 27-year-old teller, then fled with an unknown amount of cash.
Tu was charged with second-degree robbery, according to police records. His bail is set at $150,000.
