The Honolulu Police Department is searching for an inmate who escaped from the Laumaka Work Furlough Center Saturday morning.

According to the Department of Public Safety, 37-year-old Anthony Robert Delmondo was not present at the 6 a.m. head count in the morning.

DPS officials say Delmondo is serving time for vehicle theft. His next parole hearing is scheduled for June 14. His max release date is June 14, 2015.

Delmondo is described as Hawaiian, 5-foot-7, weighs 250 pounds with brown eyes and black hair.

Police are still investigating how he escaped.

Anyone who sees him is urged to call HPD.
