Travis 'Hapa' Browne's beard may be long, but he's used to making short work of his opponents seeing as five of his last six wins haven't gone past the first round.

Unfortunately, the king of the knockout was put on the mat Saturday night as the heavyweight fell to Fabricio Werdum via unanimous decision in a fight to be the UFC's number one contender.

Werdum attacked often and took Browne to the ground multiple times. He even peppered him with strikes throughout all five rounds.

The loss marks Browne's first in three fights.

His record now falls to 16-2-1.

Browne wasn't the only Hawaiian fighter to leave without his hand being raised.

Waiakea alum Brad Tavares came out on the wrong end of a unanimous decision to Yoel Romero.

The Cuban middleweight attacked Tavares from round one and even forced the fight to the ground.

With the loss, Tavares' record now stands at 12-3.
