Columbia County, GA (WFXG) -

CSRA residents may hear some loud booms next week from two construction projects in the area, Columbia County EMA Director Pam Tucker said.

Blair Construction will be conducting drilling and blasting operations at two locations starting Monday.

Crews will be working at the intersection of Interstate 20 and Highway 221 for the installation of a county sanitary sewer line. This project starts Monday and will continue throughout the week.

They'll also be working at the Fort Gordon Recreation Department (Points West Army Resort, along Bass Drive near Bluegill Road) as part of a project for Augusta Utilities. This project will start on Monday afternoon or Tuesday morning and will continue throughout the week and into the following week.
