Power has been restored to customers affected by the outage.
Approximately 1,900 customers have been affected by a power outage on Monday, according to the Hawaiian Electric Co.
A HECO official said the outage was caused by a problem with an underground cable. The power went out at approximately 8:20 p.m.
Crews are currently on scene making repairs. HECO said it expects power to be restored by approximately 10:30 p.m.
