(Hawaii News Now) - This week's HI Achiever is a star athlete who gives his all in the game and in the community. Saint Francis High School Senior Blayne Won is the linebacker and tightend for his school's football team, and when he's not on the field, he's shooting hoops on the court.
Won also spends time giving back to the community, earning more than 270 hours of community service even when his school only requires 100 for graduation. Jennifer Robbins has more of Won's inspiring story from Saint Franchis High School.
If you know a student who is excelling in school and giving back to the community, he or she can be our next "HI Achiever". Just make sure to nominate him or her at www.hawaiinewsnow.com/hiachievers and your exceptional student may be featured and recognized on "Hawaii News Now Sunrise" and the student will also receive LEAP financial training and $200 cash prize from Hawaii USA, Federal Credit Union.
