A Wind Advisory has been issued until 6 p.m. Monday for Oahu, Lanai, Kahoolawe, and the Kohala and South Point areas of the Big Island of Hawaii.
The National Weather Service said northeast winds of 25 to 35 miles per hour with localized gusts over 45 miles per hour are possible. On Oahu, the strongest winds will occur in areas immediately leeward of the Koolau and Waianae mountain ranges.
Forecasters said winds this strong can bring down tree branches and make driving difficult, especially in high profile vehicles such as SUVs. Motorists should use extra caution.
