HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

After taking a series from #10 UC-Santa Barbara last weekend, the Rainbow Warrior baseball team fell apart at home losing 7-1 to UC-Irvine Friday night at Les Murakami Stadium.

Anteaters pitcher Andrew Morales had his way with the Bows striking out four batters and not allowing a single run over 7- 1/3 innings. He extends his scoreless inning streak to 23.

From a hitting standpoint, UC-Irvine dominated for most of the game and shut the door on the Bows for good with a two-run homer from Kris Paulino in the top of the seventh to make it, 7-0.

With the loss, Hawaii falls to 14-14 on the year and 2-2 in the Big West.

Game two of the series is Saturday night.

First pitch is set to fly at 6:35 p.m.
