Saint Louis School president Walter Kirimitsu announced today that athletic director Ed Paola will not be returning for the 2014-15 school year.
Paola served as athletic director since 2010 and previously served as the school's science department chairman. A professional educator, Paola worked to instill the importance of academics to Saint Louis athletes.
"Ed contributed to the growth of our students in the classroom and sports field, and worked during a transitional period of a number of capital improvements to our athletics facilities. We hope to begin the hiring process as soon as possible, and ensure the integrity of our athletics program for the remainder of this school year," said Kirimitsu.
Paola's duties will be re-assigned internally until a new athletic director is hired.
Established in 1846, Saint Louis School is the third-oldest and only all-male school in the state, educating generations of servant leaders to serve in diverse sectors of the worldwide community.
