CLARKSVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Three people were arrested after shots rang out near two hotels in Clarksville Sunday night.

Police responded to a call about a robbery and shots fired near the Microtel and La Quinta hotels on Holiday Drive just after 6 p.m.

Darcell Wright, Keshun Hester and Vonzel Williams were taken into custody to be interviewed by police.

Police say Wright tried to escape from the interview area.

All three suspects were taken to the Montgomery County Jail.

Wright was charged with aggravated robbery, criminal impersonation, felony vandalism and escape; Hester is charged with possession of stolen property; and Williams is charged with reckless endangerment.
