Deja vu? Pack bites 'Bows late again with 8-run rally

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

For the second straight night, the University of Hawaii Rainbow Warrior baseball team had a lead late in the game and once again, the Nevada Wolfpack devoured any chance of a UH win.

After being down by as many as four runs in the ninth inning, Nevada rallied to score eight runs to defeat the 'Bows, 10-6, Saturday night at Les Murakami Stadium.

Coincidentally, a local boy is the one that started the rally.

Facing a 6-3 deficit, Wolfpack leftfielder and Kamehameha grad Kewby Meyerhit a game-tying  three-run homer in what would be the first of five hits in the frame.

With the loss, Hawaii falls to 7-11 on the year.

Game three of the series is set for Sunday afternoon.

First pitch is set to fly at 1 p.m.
