Students sue apartments featured in Channel 4 I-Team investigation

Posted: Updated:

Dozens of Middle Tennessee students are now suing a Murfreesboro apartment complex the Channel 4 I-Team first reported on last week.

Our investigation found units in the Aspen Heights complex failed codes inspections, because they weren't warm enough.

We also found that units in apartments with the same name and owned by the same company in Columbia, MO, also failed codes inspections there because they weren't reaching the acceptable limit for warmth.

Now, 48 students in Murfreesboro have filed a lawsuit, citing, among other complaints, extreme cold temperatures.

In a statement to the Channel 4 I-Team, the property management said in part, "We are committed to working one-on-one with members of our community to address and resolve any concerns they may have."
