HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Police officers are known to be in the life-saving business. Two officers are being called heroes for leaping into action during a fire.
They are police officers that arrived on the scene of a burned out home before the Fire Department arrived. Flames were shooting four stories into the air, conditions treacherous, with sparking electric lines and smoke filling the air. Officers Wade Tamarra and Shayne Sesoko spotted a man standing too close to the fire, too distraught to move away from the danger. The two officers sprang into action and saved his life. For their efforts, the men received the Warrior Bronze Medal of Valor. For going above and beyond, they are also the Red Cross "In the Line of Duty Heroes" of the year.
