(RNN) - A magnitude 6.9 earthquake has been reported off of the California coast Sunday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
** A tsunami is not expected and there is no tsunami threat to Hawaii.
The temblor was reported in the Pacific Ocean at 7:18 p.m. Hawaii Time. The epicenter was located about 48 miles west-northwest of Ferndale, CA, and about 250 miles northwest of Sacramento, CA.
There have been no reports of damage or injuries. The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center did not issued a tsunami warning.
