MECHANICSVILLE, VA (WWBT) -

A man is now facing arson charges following a fire Saturday night in Mechanicsville.

Officials responded to the 6900 block of Brooking Way around 9:23 p.m. Saturday for a reported house fire. When Hanover Fire-EMS arrived crews found a single family home fully engulfed flames.

It took crews about 45 minutes to bring this fire under control. No one was injured. The house is a total loss.

After an extensive investigation, the Hanover Fire Marshal's Office has charged 53 year old Glenn Broughman with arson of an occupied dwelling.  He is being held at the Pamunkey Regional Jail.
