HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Remnant clouds and showers from a departing cold front are forecast for parts of Maui and the Big Island Sunday, while other areas should have drier and sunnier weather.
The front that dropped showers on the islands Friday and Saturday moved southeast of the Big Island overnight. However, returning trade winds are pushing the remnant moisture back over the eastern end of the state.
A few showers are expected, mainly for windward and mauka areas, with more frequent showers for Maui and the Big Island through Tuesday.
