Oahu-based band 'The Green' will open for Bruno Mars at three sold-out concerts at the Blaisdell Arena in Honolulu on April 18, 19, and 21, the band's manager announced Wednesday.
Tickets for the three concerts, which went on sale the day after Mars' Super Bowl performance, sold out in hours, promotors told Hawaii News Now.
The Green's JP Kennedy and Bruno Mars have reportedly been friends since high school.
"Over the years, Bruno has been very supportive of The Green," Kennedy says. "It's a great feeling to be asked to open these sold-out Honolulu shows."
The Green's manager says the band will perform headlining dates in Las Vegas, NV, and Anaheim, CA, before joining Mars in Honolulu, then returning to the mainland for a West Coast tour.
