TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

One person was killed and another suffered life-threatening injuries in an accident this morning on Kino Parkway. 

The first 911 call came around 3:45 Monday morning. Tucson police said it was a single vehicle accident involving two people. 

The female driver, 22, was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. The passenger, 21-year-old Devante Michael Carranza, died at the scene.
 
Northbound Kino Parkway was closed until about 11:15 a.m. for the investigation.
