KANEOHE, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A 65-year-old man has died after an apparent drowning at the Kaneohe Sandbar on Saturday shortly before 2 p.m.
Police officials said the man was snorkeling with a local tour company when he apparently drowned. The tour company performed CPR on the man, and brought him to shore at the Heeia Kea small boat harbor.
Honolulu Fire Department and Emergency Medical Service officials were on scene and also performed CPR on the man.
According to EMS officials, the man later died.
His identity or cause of death has yet to be released.
