Salt Lake Boulevard reopened after car hits telephone pole

SALT LAKE, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Salt Lake Boulevard has been reopened between Maluna and Wanaka Streets after a car crashed into a utility pole, knocking down power lines at around midnight on Friday.

According to Hawaiian Electric Co. officials, the white sedan may have hit a Hawaiian Telcom pole, potentially affecting phone customers in the area. Hawaiian Telcom has not provided details about customer impact or repairs.

There were no reports of any injuries after the crash.
