Shark signs removed following tiger shark sighting

Shark signs posted in Waikiki after tiger shark takes diver's catch

WAIKIKI (HawaiiNewsNow) - Shark signs at Kaimana Beach have been removed following the sighting of a 10-foot tiger shark on Saturday.

Officials scanned the water on Sunday and saw no sign of the shark.

The tiger shark was reportedly spotted at Kaimana Beach around 11:15 a.m. Saturday in the Waikiki area.

Ocean Safety officials say the shark was seen approximately 200 yards off of the flag pole at Kaimana Beach on the Diamond Head side of Waikiki.

No injuries were reported.
