UC Santa Barbara defeats Hawaii 75-64

HONOLULU (AP) - Alan Williams scored 20 points and gathered 17 rebounds to lead UC Santa Barbara over Hawaii 75-64 on Thursday.

UC Santa Barbara (15-6, 6-2) kept pace atop the Big West, matching UC Irvine's win earlier in the night. Michael Bryson added 18 points while Taran Brown had 13.

Hawaii (15-7, 4-4) was led by Isaac Fotu with 17 points. Christian Standhardinger had 15 and Brandon Spearman added 11.

Hawaii jumped out quickly and led 18-10 after a Davis Rozitis basket. UCSB's John Green tied the game at 29 with a jumper, but Rozitis' jump shot with 1:14 left gave Hawaii a 37-34 lead at the break.

UCSB was down one at 44-43 after a Fotu jump shot, but the Gauchos used a 12-0 run to go up nine and didn't trail again. The Warriors scored just 27 second half points, making 1 of 9 3-pointers.
