Flood Advisory for Kauai extended until 4 p.m.

LIHUE, KAUAI (HawaiiNewsNow) - The National Weather Service in Honolulu has extended the Flood Advisory for Kauai until 4 p.m.

At 12:42 p.m., radar showed heavy rain across the island of Kauai continuing to move in from the southwest. These showers are expected to produce additional rainfall over already saturated grounds.

A Flash Flood Watch is also in effect for Kauai until 6 am Thursday. This advisory may need to be extended beyond 4:00 pm if Heavy Rain persists.

Meanwhile, the Department of Education tweeted, "Students living from Princeville to Haena who attend Kapaa Middle & HS will be released early. Bus service provided."
