NORTHRIDGE, CALIFORNIA (HawaiiNewsNow) -

The first half of Rainbow Wahine basketball team's four-game road trip isn't getting off to the best start.

Despite rallying from a 16-point deficit in the second half to force overtime, Hawaii fell to Cal State-Northridge on Saturday, 75-72, at the Matadome.

UH falls to 10-9 overall and 4-3 in Big West games. The Matadors improved to 10-12 overall and 6-2 in conference to remain in second place in conference.

Hawaii's Ashleigh Karaitiana scored a career-high 28 points and tied the UH single-game record sinking 6 3-pointers--including the game-tying trey to tie the game and force overtime.

Kamilah Jackson recorded her 11th double-double of the season with 23 points and a game-high 13 rebounds.

Hawaii will stay on the road for two more conference games, Thursday, Feb. 6 at 7:00 pm at UC-Santa Barbara and then at Cal Poly on Saturday, Feb. 8 at 2:00 p.m.
