Roads re-open after critical moped accident in Ewa Beach

EWA BEACH, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A man in his 20's is in critical condition after losing control of his moped around 7:23 a.m. Saturday morning in the Ewa Beach area.

EMS officials say the accident happened on Geiger and Essex Road, fronting the Waste Water Treatment Plant.

Officials say the moped driver apparently lost control while driving.

Paramedics treated the patient before transporting him to the trauma center in critical condition.

HPD closed the Geiger, Essex, and Kapolei Parkway roads around 8 a.m. Saturday morning.

Roads were re-opened shortly before 10 a.m.
