Electricity restored in Kalihi after power lines go down

KALIHI, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) - {UPDATE 4:10 p.m.}

Hawaiian Electric Company said it has restored power to all the customers in Kalihi who were affected by downed power lines at Kokea Street.


 HECO officials have restored power back to approximately 450 customers in the Dillingham area. There are still hundreds of customers without power at the moment.

Crews are still working to repair the downed power lines on Kokea Street.

Approximately 750 customers are without power in Kalihi due to downed power lines on Kokea Street.

A Hawaiian Electric Company spokesperson said it happened shortly after noon Sunday.

HECO says power should be back up within a couple hours.
