MIAMI BEACH, Fla. (AP) - Police have identified the person who was arrested with pop singer Justin Bieber for alleged drag-racing on a Miami Beach street as an R&B singer known as Khalil.

Police confirmed the arrest in a tweet from the department's official account Thursday morning.

According to police, Bieber was driving a Lamborghini and Khalil was driving a Ferrari.

Police say the pair will be taken for a first appearance at a Miami-Dade County jail.

Sgt. Bobby Hernandez says Bieber failed a field sobriety test. Bieber and Khalil both face drag-racing and driving under the influence charges.
