Power out for hundreds of customers in Wahiawa

WAHIAWA, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Crews with Hawaiian Electric Company are working to restore power to about 800 customers in the Wahiawa area.

Power was knocked out before noon on Wednesday following a report of downed power lines on California Avenue. The road is closed in both directions between N. Cane Street and Ihoiho Place as crews work to clear the scene.

There is no estimate for when the road will reopen or power will be restored.
