NUUANU PALI, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A woodworking shop was destroyed in a structure fire in the Nuuanu area early Saturday morning.
According to Honolulu Fire Captain Terry Seelig, initial reports were of smoke in the area. However, neighbors soon started calling with reports of the structure on fire.
The Honolulu Fire Department says the structure fire was reported at 3:47 a.m. on Gartley Place.
Officials had the fire under control by 4:11 a.m.
The fire damage was confined to a detached woodworking shop. There were no reports of fire damage to the adjacent house. The fire caused $180,000 in damage to the structure and its contents.
No one was in the home at the time, and no injuries were reported.
The cause of the blaze is still under investigation.
