HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Former Hawaii Governor Linda Lingle is returning to her alma mater for a new job. She'll be teaching a course in public policy this spring at Cal-State Northridge.
Lingle has remained largely out of the public eye since losing her bid for a US Senate seat to Mazie Hirono in 2012.
She graduated from Cal-State Northridge with a degree in journalism in 1975.
Spring semester classes begin next Tuesday and Lingle says she is looking forward to getting started.
Lingle says she has been traveling a lot. In the past year, she visited China, Vietnam and Israel where she gave a speech on public policy.
She plans to move back to Honolulu after the semester is up.
