Business Report: Little Fire Ant and the Coconut Rhinoceros Beetle

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

An invasive beetle has been found on a military base on Oahu and efforts are being made to keep from spreading out. And, as you may have heard, garden stores on Oahu and Maui have been selling ferns that have tiny fire ants.

Darcy Oishi is Hawaii state plant quarantine manager. He updated Howard Dicus on these pests, and gave a demonstration of the way to catch the fire ants with one of their favorite foods… peanut butter.
