KAILUA, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A man in his 50s died after he was stabbed several times near Cinnamon's Restaurant on Monday, Honololulu police said.
HPD responded to an alert at around 11:45 p.m. and arrived at the scene on Uluniu Street.
The victim, a homeless man who was sleeping under a stairwell, was taken to the hospital in extremely critical condition where he later died, police said.
Both the victim and suspect have not been identified and it is unclear what the motive was, but HPD is looking for the suspect who fled by foot.
Witnesses describe him as a white male in his 20s, around 5'2" to 5'4" and between 140 and 160 pounds. He was wearing a black cap, long-sleeved shirt, dark pants and possible work boots.
