Local Community Groups Can Make Their Voices Heard

(Hawaii News Now) - Volta Industries today announced the return of its corporate giving program, Awareness Powered by Volta, a community service outreach program specifically designed to help non-profit and community groups with building awareness by providing them free advertising space worth thousands of dollars on Volta's electric vehicle (EV) charging station kiosks.

Interested non-profits and community groups are encouraged to apply by January 31. Volta will choose three semi-finalists, and the public will choose the winning group to receive a minimum of three months of free advertising at a Volta's EV charging station valued at $6,000. Meanwhile the runner-up will receive a minimum one month of free advertising valued at $2,000.

For those interested in applying:

  • Interested non-profit groups should complete the short application form at the Volta's web site.    
  • The deadline for submissions is January 31.
  • Three semi-finalists will be contacted by Thursday, February 6 regarding the online contest. Volta will post each semi-finalist on its Facebook page (Volta Charging), and the general public can vote February 17 - 28 on who should receive the grand prize. The runner-up will receive one month of free advertising worth $2,000 and the grand-prize winner will receive three months of free advertising at a Volta charging station, worth $6,000. *Locations and timing to be determined by winners and Volta following contest.
