Police search for family of woman killed in Lahaina crash

LAHAINA, MAUI (HawaiiNewsNow) - The Maui Police Department is asking for the public's help in finding the family of a Lahaina woman who was killed in a pedestrian accident just before midnight on December 23.

Police say a 32-year-old Wailuku man was driving a pickup truck south on Honoapiilani Highway, when he drifted into the bicycle lane hitting 51-year-old Roselie Miller.

Police say Miller died at the scene.

Investigators say they have been making numerous attempts to contact Ms. Miller's family, "however all indicators are that Ms. Miller may not have any immediate family in the United States."

Anyone with information is asked to call Officer Jonathan KANESHIRO (244-6364) of the Vehicle Homicide Unit.
