The Kailua-bound lane of Kalanianaole Highway has been closed. Honolulu police are directing traffic toward the center lane as crews continue to repair downed power lines.

All lanes of Kalanianaole Highway have been reopened and power lines have been cleared from the roads, according to Honolulu police. The lines have been identified as Hawaiian Telcom lines.
Update 6 a.m.:
Kalanianaole Highway has been reopened, but Nakani and Huli Streets remain closed.
Hawaiian Electric Co. is responding to two separate incidents involving downed utility poles, both caused by car accidents. Roads have been closed in parts of Waikiki and Waimanalo.
A stretch of Kalakaua Avenue has been closed in both directions between Makaloa Street and Kapiolani Boulevard due to a car crash involving two Hawaiian Telcom utility poles shortly after 2 a.m., Honolulu police said.
Hawaiian Electric has been notified of the incident, but repair crews have not yet arrived on scene.
Kalanianaole Highway has been shut down in both directions between Nakani and Huli Streets due to a car crashing into two utility poles.
Hawaiian Electric and Hawaiian Telcom crews are on scene and are investigating downed lines.
No power outages have been reported in either instances. It has not been determined when repairs will be complete, but drivers should be prepared for traffic delays until roads are reopened.
