(RNN) - Missouri brings a 12-1 record, No. 21 national ranking and the nation's longest home win streak to Wednesday's Southeastern Conference opener with Georgia.
The Bulldogs (6-6) have had a disappointing nonconference season and are coming off consecutive losses to Colorado and George Washington. They have yet to win a road game in five tries.
Missouri most recently scraped by Long Beach State 69-59 to extend its home court streak to 26. The Tigers shoot a solid 49 percent from the floor on average and hit well over 50 percent against Long Beach. That game was close for much of the night, but Mizzou finished with a 12-4 run to pull away. The Tigers are holding opponents to just 38 percent floor shooting.
The Bulldogs had a wretched shooting night in the loss to George Washington. The 62 points was their lowest production of the season and they hit a pitiful 1-for-10 from three-point range.
The game tips at 8 p.m. ET on SEC TV.
